In Mexico City, on the morning of this Thursday, a driver tragically died after crashing his luxury truck on Avenida Paseo de la Reforma. The accident occurred around 5:40 a.m. in the Lomas Altas neighborhood, Miguel Hidalgo borough. The driver, in a BMW truck, collided with a containment wall, causing the vehicle to catch fire rapidly.
Although the driver was inside the vehicle at the time of impact, the emergency services' efforts to rescue him were unsuccessful. Elements of the Heroic Fire Department of Mexico City arrived at the scene to control the fire.
Authorities reported the vehicle fire on Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, in the Lomas Altas neighborhood. In addition to firefighters, emergency services and personnel from the Mexico City Attorney General's Office also appeared at the scene.
According to the firefighters: 'A vehicle fire was registered on Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, in the Lomas Altas neighborhood, in the Miguel Hidalgo borough.' The investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
